  SZR is full aware of your role in the social development of the Country. Therefore, it contributes with financial resources and human capital to hospitals, beneficent entities and social projects.  

     Those social investments have been growing every year, assisting to a larger number of people and reducing the social distances among them.    

The socioeconomic transformations of the last 20 years have been affecting the behavior of companies deeply until then accustomed to the pure and exclusive increase  of the profit. If on one side the private section has prominence room more and more in the wealth creation; on the other hand, it is well known that with great power, great responsibility comes. In function of the creative capacity already existent, and of the financial and human resources already available, companies have an intrinsic social responsibility.  

The idea of incorporate social responsibility to the businesses is. Therefore, relatively recent. With the appearance of new demands and larger pressure for transparency in the businesses, companies see each other forced to adopt a more responsible posture in your actions.  

Unhappily, many still confuse the concept with philanthropy, but the reasons for behind of that paradigm they don't only interest to the good to be social, but they also involve better performance in the businesses and, consequently, larger profitability. The search of the corporate social responsibility has, thick way, the following characteristics: 

  • It is plural. Companies don't just owe satisfactions to your shareholders. A lot on the contrary. The market now should render bills to the employees, to the media, to the government, to the no-government and environmental section and, finally, to the communities with that operates. Companies only have to win in the new social partners' inclusion in your processes decisive. A dialogue more participating doesn't just represent a change of behavior of the company, but it also means larger social legitimacy.  
  • It is distributive. The social responsibility in the businesses is a concept that the the whole productive chain is applied. Not only the final product should be evaluated by factors environmental or social, but the concept is of common interest and, therefore, it should be diffused along whole and any productive process. As well as consumers, companies are also responsible for your suppliers and they should make to be worth your ethics codes to the products and services used along your productive processes.  

  • It is maintainable. Social responsibility walks of hands given with the concept of maintainable development. A responsible attitude in relation to the atmosphere and to the society, not only it not guarantees the shortage of resources, but it also enlarges the concept to a wider scale. The maintainable development not only he/she refers to the atmosphere, but for road of the invigoration of durable partnerships, it promotes the image of the company as a whole and finally group to the guided growth. A maintainable posture is by nature preventive and it makes possible the prevention of future risks, as environmental impacts or lawsuits.  

  • It is transparent. The globalization brings with itself demands for transparency. Not more they have enough us more the accounting books. Companies are gradually forced to publish your social and environmental performance, the impacts of your activities and the measures electric outlet for prevention or compensation of accidents. In that sense, companies will be forced to publish annual reports, where your performance is confronted in the most different possible modalities. A lot of companies already make him/it in voluntary character, but many foresee that partner-environmental reports will be compulsory in a close future.
