The Service of Federal Inspection
of Products of Origin Animal organ technical executive of the Department of
Inspection of Products of Animal Origin of the Ministry of the Agriculture and
of the Provisioning he/she has for institutional mission the
technique-industrial and hygienic-sanitary inspection of the products of animal
origin marketed in ambit international , with the objective of guaranteeing the
quality of the victuals of this nature destined to the human " consumption.
All this activity this constituted
in law and regulated by the Law no. 1.283 of 18/12/1950, regulated by the
Ordinance 30.691 of 20/03/1952, altered by the Ordinances no. 1.255 of
25/06/1962, no. 1812 of 08/02/1996, no. 2.284 of 04/06/1997 and Law no. 7.889 of
23/11/1989.

For the execution of this activity
we counted with a body of countless employees among Doctor-veterinarians,
Technicians of Laboratory, Agents of Inspection and Administrative Agents, most
of them answering for the inspection of several industrial units and many
carrying out inherent activities the other technical segments of this Ministry.
